INTRODUCTION.
In this project, we focused on investigating historical works to enrich architectural design and ideas. Through the study of existing buildings, we were able to inform and expand our own architectural vocabulary and develop design concepts.
Learning outcomes
1. To produce building analysis which document intentions, concepts, patterns, disciplines, architectural language and contextual relationships.
2. To produce graphical development, expansion and elaboration of intentions, concepts, patterns, disciplines, architectural language and contextual relationships in developing architectural critics’ skill.
Part A. On-line Group Forum
Each group was given a historical building to conduct a full analysis of the building's historical, cultural and architectural importance. Luxor Temple was the building assigned to my group. Every group member was assigned a question on the temple among the five set questions. I did questions based on the architect, concept and location of the temple.

Part B. Precedent Study & Comparative Analyses Journal
With the information gathered from the online group forum, we were required to provide precedent study and comprehensive comparative sketch analyses of the case study, to include the accounts listed below
1. Related illustrative Architectural Historical Timeline in chronology order that highlights and explains the standing of the case study in Architecture History.
2. With reference to the timeline generates comparative analyses of the case study with the before and after architectural style.
3. With reference to the timeline explain the technology development and advancement related to the case study

Part C. Analysis Presentation board
In this assignment, we required to produce a presentation board that condense all of our research analysis in an aesthetic way. The board should portray an in-depth analysis of the building and thorough reflections of the questions listed.
Analysis include:
A. Answers to the Precedent Study Analysis questions below:
1. How does the building reflect the spirit of the time and place for which it was built?
2. What are the initial ideas and the design concept?
3. How the initial ideas and the design concept affecting the architecture?
B. Building massing analysis (i. Material and Structure- geometry of making, ii. Geometry - alignment/anthropometry/social geometry/ideal geometry)
REFLECTION
Throughout this subject, I've learnt about the history of an era and how it has influence the designs of the buildings back in the day and in the present.
