Environmental Sustainable Design

This module introduces us to environmental issues and some in-depth understanding of the complexities and interactions that the design and construction professions have to deal with to contain some of the irreversible damage that human settlement causes to the environment. Module also intended to instill basic ecological literacy and environmental concerns through projects that involves local environment and society.

​Project 1: My Community, My Commitment.

This group project enabled us to create environmental and community awareness and responsibility. We were to propose and execute an environmental based community project in response to our selected site. Our group arranged a water system and built a shading structure with the addition of a walkway upon entering.

Our chosen site was the Sivananda home in Suria Selayang, Batu Caves.

Progress works

REFLECTION

Through this project, I gained skills necessary of design in addressing challenges in environmental sustainability. Project also enhanced the value of group work as were constantly working together to achieve our required goal.
