ARCHITECTURE DESIGN PROJECT
We were required to produce a detailed design supported with a comprehensive design report.
The design ought to reflect on construction design understanding and the use of the most appropriate structural concepts, building systems, materials, technology and services.
Project 1: Pre-design Studies
The first project, was a group project. In our group of 6, we were to conduct analysis of our given site located alongside Jalan Arab and Jalan Sulaiman. The pre-design studies was to be based on:
- Studies of the contextual conditions of the site.
- Studies on the selected user groups and building types
- Studies on the cultural and meaning place.
- Studies on the current restrictions and proposed development on site and how it will affect the project and design.
Our findings were presented in form of a video.
We were required to design a cultural innovation center in Muar. The site is currently a car park and the CIC is meant to fill the space. The building design is meant to address the urban street context and user behavioral patterns as discerned and analysed in preliminary studies.

Project 2: Final Design and Comprehensive Report
