This group project required us to perform a case study on building services systems applied and installed in multi-storey buildings. We were introduced to the common systems that are used in a bigger volume of spaces and a variety of users. This exercise required students to develop their own understanding in the application of building services to make a building technically functional. The discoveries would be useful in our future design studio projects to ensure that our building design proposals are practical and efficient.

Project 2: Application of Building Services
This is an individual assignment on application of basic building services onto a domestic sized building and we were to apply such systems onto our Design studio project building. This exercise required students to demonstrate their understanding on the application by producing technical drawings incorporating the necessary building services along with report essay supported.

REFLECTION.
Building Services Module has enabled me to identify the relevant information related to mechanical ventilation, air-conditioning system, mechanical transportation system and fire protection system, and also understand the function of these services system operate throughout the commercial building. Moreover, I able to understand the connections and position of equipments in different parts. Besides, I understand the principles and systems while study the space implications and regulations related to different building services. Last but not least, I able to understand the implications of By-Laws and regulations in the buildings in Malaysia.
