PROJECT : SKELETON DESIGN OF A R.C BUILDING
The project is an integrated component where it involves structural theory, force calculation and basic structural proposal. This project is designed to allow the demonstration of knowledge and understanding of building structure.
In a group, we were to produce a complete documentation on structural system of a case study, explore and understand the concept of structural analysis, identify structural components, recognize and implement basic procedures of building structural design and produce a final structural proposal.
Divided in 2 parts, first task was group components and second part individual components.
In a group of 6, we were to obtain floor plan of a maximum 3 storeys bungalow, We required to carry out structural framing and prepare structural drawings for the bungalow inclusive of foundation plan, ground floor plan, first floor plan and roof plan.
Furthermore, each group member was required to analyse minimum of 4 beams and 2 columns subjected on load types - UDL and Point Load affected from various structural members of the building
